ANIL KSHETARPAL, J(Oral) The petitioners retired between 2006 to 2018. They pray for pay parity with Veterinary Officers on the basis of the judgment passed in CWP- 23932-2012, titled as Rajesh Gupta Vs. State of Punjab and another, decided on 31.07.2018. The petitioners were appointed as the Agriculture Development Officer (Fodder) and retired being at the same post. The petitioners pray for pay parity from 2004. It is evident that the writ petition suffers from unexplained delay and laches. Even after the judgment in Rajesh Gupta's case (supra), more than four years have elapsed. In these circumstances, it is not found appropriate to exercise writ jurisdiction. The petitioners, if so advised, may avail their alternative remedy available to them.
With these observations present petition is dismissed. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
