The present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No. 33 dated 21.02.2022 registered at Police Station Adampur, District Jalandhar Rural under Sections 279, 427 IPC on the basis of compromise dated 04.07.2022(Annexure P-
2).
Pursuant to order dated 28.02.2023, report dated 12.04.2023 has been received from Judicial Magistrate 1" Class, Jalandhar. According to this report, statements of the parties have been recorded and that the compromise is genuine and has been arrived at without any threat or coercion.
In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the FIR No. 33 dated 21.02.2022 registered at Police Station Adampur, District Jalandhar Rural under Sections 279, 427 IPC and all the consequential proceedings having arisen therefrom are hereby quashed qua the petitioner.
