The present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No. 185 dated 08.06.2019 registered at Police Station Zirakhpur, District SAS Nagar under Sections 379 and 427 IPC on the basis of compromise dated 07.02.2023(Annexure P-2).
Pursuant to order dated 21.02.2023, report dated 24.03.2023 has been received from Judicial Magistrate 1* Class, Dera Bassi. According to this report, statements of the parties have been recorded and that the compromise is genuine and has been arrived at without any threat or coercion.
In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the FIR No. 185 dated 08.06.2019 registered at Police Station Zirakhpur, District SAS Nagar under Sections 379 and 427 IPC and all the consequential proceedings having arisen therefrom are hereby quashed qua the petitioners.
