Petitioners are seeking direction to the respondents to release the amount of CPF contribution, which was made by them, along with interest accrued thereon.

Learned counsel for the petitioners refers to the orders/judgments passed by this Court in Avtar Singh & others vs. State of Punjab & others, CWP No.2503 of 2020, decided on 30.01.2020 (Annexure P-4) and Karan Singh & others vs. State of Punjab & others, CWP No.3169 of 2020, decided on 06.02.2020 (Annexure P-5), whereby in similar situation, directions have been issued to the official respondents to pass a final order after considering the case(s) of the petitioners.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Simran Grewal, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State.

In the present case, learned counsel for the petitioners states that daughter of petitioner No. 2 is to get married on 07.02.2021.

Hence, the present writ petition is disposed of by giving direction to the respondents to take a final decision on legal notice dated 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 11-01-2021 21:24:32 ::: CWP-475-2021 -2- 05.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) in the case of petitioner No.2 within a period of two weeks and pass speaking order thereon in accordance with law.

With respect to other petitioners, the present petition is disposed of by giving direction to the respondents to look into the legal notice dated 05.11.2020 (Annexure P-6) and pass speaking orders thereon in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
