JUDGMENT
Petitioner's son is convict No. 240/2023 presently lodged in the Central Prison, Viyyur, who was convicted in S.C.No.487/2021 on the files of the Additional Sessions Court, Irinjalkkuda. Alleging that petitioner's husband and father of the convict had undergone surgery and is under treatment at the District Hospital, Ernakulam, an application for emergency leave has been preferred as Ext.P1. The limited prayer of the petitioner is for a direction to dispose of Ext.P1.
2. Having heard Sri. T.U.Sujith Kumar, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as Sri.Ashi M.C., the learned Public Prosecutor, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of with a direction.
3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the 3 rd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on Ext.P1 application dated 20-05-2024 WP(C) NO. 18543 OF 2024 3 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
