                           JUDGMENT

Dated this the 21st day of May, 2024 The petitioner has applied for Regular Permit for Stage Carriage on the route Nemmara Bus Stand- Karimpara. The decision was adjourned by the 1st respondent without any reason. The petitioner seeks to direct the respondents to consider the application and arrive at a finality to the proceeding in the next meeting of the Regional Transport Authority or by circulation.

2. It is evident that the petitioner has submitted an application for Regular Permit, which has statutory support. Therefore, it is necessary that the competent authority considers the application submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

The writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the 1st respondent-Regional Transport Authority to consider the application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of Regular Permit in the next Regional Transport Authority W.P.(C) No.14817 of 2024 :3: Board meeting itself positively or at any rate within a period of two months, after giving opportunity of hearing to affected parties.
