                            JUDGMENT

Dated this the 21st day of May, 2024 The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:

(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writs, orders or directions directing the 2nd respondent to take steps to circulate Ext.P1 application for regular permit among the members of the RTA by resorting to Rule 130 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Rules and to take a final decision on Ext.P1 application for regular permit forthwith;
(ii) To dispense with the production of English Translation of documents which are in vernacular language;
(iii) Render such other orders as it is found to be deem and proper to the facts and circumstances of the present case.

2. Senior Government Pleader representing the respondents submits that the application has been received and pending and in view of the Code of Conduct of Elections, the matter was not taken up. The petitioner's case will be taken up on 10.06.2024.

In the afore facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing that the petitioner's application for issuance of Regular Permit shall be placed before the RTA W.P.(C) No.17367 of 2024 :3: meeting scheduled to be held on 10.06.2024, positively and a final decision at any rate, shall be taken within a further period of six weeks in accordance with law.
