JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for necessary orders to ensure the benefit of 7 th Central Pay commissions to the petitioner.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent University contended that, the petitioner was all along working in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, this Court does not have the territorial jurisdiction to entertain the matter. However, the limited prayer sought by the petitioner is to direct the competent officer under the 3rd respondent to consider Ext.P7 representation.
In the light of the limited prayer sought and also taking note of the fact that, the period within which the application in this regard is to be submitted is expiring within a couple of days, I am of the view that, the objection raised by the Standing Counsel need not be considered at this stage. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 3 rd respondent to take up Ext.P7 and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, through the officer empowered in this regard. The petitioner shall forward the copy of the writ petition along with the judgment.
