JUDGMENT
(Dated this the 27th day of June, 2024) A.MUHAMED MUSTAQUE (J) This appeal is preferred by the claimant as against the award passed by the Reference Court. The reference court fixed the land value at Rs.24,17,000/- per Are as against the compensation awarded by the Land Acquisition Officer at the rate of Rs.2,26,790/- per Are.
This Court, in LAA No.7/2016, enhanced the market value at Rs.30,18,413/- per Are. Following the said judgment, we enhance the compensation awarded by the reference court at Rs.30,18,413/- Per Are. However, the appellant will not be entitled for interest for the period covered by delay of 677 days i.e. the delay in filing the appeal and the delay in representing the appeal.
