JUDGMENT
The petitioner's late husband availed a loan from the 2 nd respondent-Bank. Since the husband of the petitioner defaulted the repayment of the loan amount, revenue recovery proceedings were initiated against the petitioner. It is against the said proceedings that the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is prepared to clear off the entire loan amount due in instalments.
3. The learned standing counsel for the 2nd respondent submits that the total amount due as on today is Rs.10,60,000/-.
Having heard both sides, this writ petition is disposed of granting an opportunity to the petitioner to clear off the entire amount with interest in 10 equal monthly instalments commencing from 01.06.2024 onwards. The subsequent instalments shall be paid by the petitioner on the 5th day of every month. In case of WP(C) NO. 15524 OF 2024 3 default on the part of the petitioner in payment of any of the instalments, the aforesaid facility extended to the petitioner shall stand cancelled and the Bank will be at liberty to proceed with the recovery proceedings. Subject to the above direction, the recovery proceedings against the petitioner shall be kept in abeyance.
