                                JUDGMENT

Raja Vijayaraghavan, J.

The petitioner herein is the 1st respondent in OP(G&W)No.1186 of 2022 on the files of the Family Court, Nedumangad. The aforesaid petition has been filed by the respondent seeking custody of his two elder children. According to the petitioner, she has four children in her marital union with the respondent. It is in the afore circumstances that this petition is filed seeking expeditious consideration of OP(G&W) No.1186 of 2022. She has also grievance that an application filed by her as IA No.8 of 2024 for early disposal of the matter has not been taken up for consideration by the Family Court.

2. A report has been called for by this Court directing the Family Court as regards the relative pendency and the prospects of expediting the proceedings.

2. In the report it is stated that IA No.8 of 2024 is posted on 19.04.2024 and the same can be disposed of on the same day itself. It is further stated that the entire proceedings can be concluded within an 3 OP(FC) No.186 of 2024 outer limit of four months.

3. In that view of the matter, this original petition is disposed of directing the Family Court to expedite the matter and make an endeavour to finalise the proceedings as stated in the report dated 08.04.2024 within an outer time limit of four months.
