It is submitted by the learned Government Pleader that it is on account of the delay on the part of the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Project-2, Thiruvananthapuram in depositing the balance amount payable for acquiring the land that the direction contained in the judgment in W.P.(C) No.11389 of 2015 could not be complied with.

Having regard to the fact that the direction aforesaid was one issued as early as on 14.6.2016, I deem it appropriate to direct the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Project-2, Thiruvananthapuram to appear before this court on 10.06.2022. Ordered accordingly. It is, however, made clear that if the amount is deposited in the meanwhile, the direction aforesaid need not be complied with.
