JUDGMENT
Vinod Chandran, J.
The petitioner alleged that her daughter was abducted by the 6th respondent and is missing. It was also alleged that respondents 4 & 5, despite a complaint made, conducted no enquiries or even registered a crime.
2. This Court directed production of the alleged detenue and later when she was not traced out, directed constitution of a special investigation team. Today, when the matter was posted, the detenue was produced before us by the Police. We interacted with her and she assured us that she was not in any illegal detention. Herself and the 6th respondent were in a relationship and since her mother objected to it, she had gone with the 6 th respondent without informing her mother. She said she wants to go with the 6th respondent.
3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner also W.P(Crl) No.408/2022

informs us that the writ petition was filed since the daughter of the petitioner was missing. After the Police traced out her whereabouts, she was produced before the Magistrate; when the mother had an opportunity to talk to her. The petitioner-mother, now, is of the opinion that her daughter can be left to her freewill and she only prays that her daughter keeps contact with her. We have informed the same to the daughter of the petitioner and also interacted with the 6th respondent, who was present. It is informed by the 6th respondent that he intends to get married to the daughter of the petitioner. We direct the Police not to pursue the case and let the daughter of the petitioner go with the 6th respondent.
The writ petition stands closed.
