Dated this the 20th day of May, 2022

                              JUDGMENT

The petitioner is granted with a regular permit as per Ext P1 proceedings dated 28.10.2021. For settling the timings and for issuance of the permit, a timing conference was convened on 28.04.2022. However, the same happened to be adjourned. The revised date is yet to be notified. It is thereupon that the petitioner has approached this Court for expeditious issuance of the permit.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned senior Government Pleader.

3. Ext P3 is the notice adjourning the timing conference that was scheduled on 28.04.2022. The notice further states that the timing conference as scheduled in May will be held as notified. The learned counsel for the petitioner points out that, such postponement would lead to a situation where the subsequent grantees W.P(C) No.14230 of 2022 3 of permit, whose timing conference would be held earlier for no fault of the petitioner, would get priority for consideration of the timings.

Taking note of the entire circumstances, it is ordered that the respondent shall have a timing conference held and permit issued to the petitioner with due notice to the interested/affected parties, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The grievance of the petitioner as noted supra shall also go into the zone of consideration of the respondent while settling the timings of any subsequent grantees but who are allotted timing conferences prior to the allotment to the petitioner.
