JUDGMENT
Petitioner is the registered owner of a stage carriage bearing Registration No.KL-18 P 3313. As per Ext.P5 representation, petitioner requested for levy of tax at the rate applicable for non-transport vehicles. The plea raised in Ext.P4 is that petitioner had not been using his vehicle from 01.07.2019 onwards since his permit had expired on 23.02.2020.
2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of, by directing an expeditious consideration of Ext.P5 representation.
3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P5 representation, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a WP(C) NO. 15633 OF 2022 3 period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
The writ petitioner is disposed of.
