JUDGMENT
The petitioner who is the owner of a property having an extent of 12.23 Ares comprised in Survey No.109/19-2 of Vazhoor Village, Kondotty Taluk, Malappuram District, has filed this Writ Petition being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the 1st respondent in considering an application submitted by the petitioner for changing the status of the property in the Revenue records from paddy land to reclaimed lands. According to the petitioner, the property is not included in the Data bank and hence he submitted an application in Form 6 of the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wet Land Rules, 2008 for conversion of the said property. Even though the said application has been submitted on 15.02.2022, the same is even now pending WP(C)No.15986/2022 3 consideration.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the 1st respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P4 application submitted by the petitioner in accordance to law after affording the petitioner an opportunity of being heard. The orders in this regard shall be passed as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall forward a copy of this judgment along with a copy of this Writ Petition to the 1st respondent.
