Dated this the 24th day of June, 2022 This writ petition is filed alleging harassment of the petitioners by the police in connection with a murder case.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that police were visiting the residence of the petitioners and were harassing them.

3. A statement has been placed on record by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, C Branch, Alappuzha. It is contended that it was in connection with Crime No.621/2021 of the Mannanchery Police Station registered under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149 324, 302, 120(B), 212, 109 and 115 of the IPC that the police officers had made enquiries at the petitioners' residence also on an understanding that the 10 th accused, who was absconding, was being aided by the petitioners. It is stated that respondents 2 and 3 did not make any frequent visits to the residence of the W.P.(C)No.18276 OF 2022 3 petitioners. However, in connection with the investigation, some police officers had visited the petitioners to know about the whereabouts of the 10 th accused, who is still absconding. It is stated that after the incident, the petitioners were absconding and the police could not question or interrogate them. It is stated that the investigation of the case is complete and the final report is submitted before the Court and there is no further need to visit the residence of the petitioners or requiring them to disclose the whereabouts of accused Nos.9 and 10.

In the above view of the matter, nothing survives for consideration. The said submission is recorded. The writ petition is closed.
