JUDGMENT
Dated this the 3rd day of June, 2022 This writ petition is filed seeking the following prayers:
"(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writs, orders of directions directing the respondents 1 and 2 to afford adequate, effective and meaningful Police protection to the petitioner and his family from the highhanded action of the 3rd respondent.
(ii) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writs, orders of directions directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Exhibits P2 and P4 as early as possible"
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a senior citizen. It is submitted that the 3 rd respondent had filed a complaint against the petitioner's son and that a crime has been registered as Crime No.71/2021 of the Vazhakad Police Station. It is submitted that the petitioner's son has also obtained anticipatory bail by Ext.P1 order. It is contended that the 3rd respondent has been regularly coming to the house of the petitioner and has been threatening to commit suicide inside the residence of the petitioner. It is submitted that WP(C) NO. 17686 OF 2022 3 there is persistent threat from the 3 rd respondent to the petitioner and other family members as well. The petitioner has preferred Exts.P2 and P4 complaints before the 2nd respondent and seeks a consideration of the same.
4. Having heard the learned Government Pleader also, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to take up Exts.P2 and P4 complaints submitted by the petitioner and examine the veracity of the same, with notice to the 3rd respondent as well. If the allegations raised are found to be true, appropriate further steps shall be taken without delay. The petitioner shall be informed of the outcome of Exts.P2 and P4 complaints, after due verifications, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
This writ petition is ordered accordingly.
