JUDGMENT
Though there are some contentions of the petitioners which require some amount of consideration by the competent Authorities, this Court cannot pass any orders to such effect in a Contempt Case.
2. Presumably being aware of this, the learned counsel for the petitioners prayed that these Contempt Cases be closed with liberty being reserved to their clients to either approach this Court with a petition seeking clarification of the judgments or for a review of the same.
In the afore circumstances, I close these Contempt Cases, with the afore requested liberty being reserved to the petitioners, particularly noticing the specific stand of the learned Senior Government Pleader - Sri.Ashwin Sethumadhavan, that no further benefits can be given to the petitioners.
At this time, the learned counsel for the petitioners pointed out that taking advantage of the fact that this Court has now closed these Contempt Cases, the properties of the Corporation is likely to be sold.
I therefore, make it clear that any such action by the competent Authorities shall be deferred for a period of 10 days, so as to enable the petitioners to invoke their alternative remedies as they are advised.
