ORDER
The petitioner who is the accused in Annexure-1 FIR registered in Crime No.499 of 2021 of Chelakkara police station. This Crl.M.C. is filed for quashing all further proceedings thereof. The aforesaid crime was registered on the basis of an inspection conducted by the police on 06.06.2021 as part of Operation P hunt, which was intended for detecting child pornographic videos and circulation of the same.
2. As part of such exercise, the mobile phone with sim card bearing No.8129387402 was seized by the police from the petitioner. However, it is discernible from the FIR that, even though the contents of the aforesaid mobile phone was examined, no objectionable videos or photographs could be detected there from. Considering the fact that, so far no offences are revealed from the articles seized from the custody of the petitioner, there is no meaning in further proceeding with Annexure- A1.
In such circumstances, Annexure-A1 FIR is hereby quashed. However, it is made clear that the quashing of this FIR will not preclude the police to initiate fresh proceedings in case any incriminating materials are found against the petitioner.
