THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON

 WP(C) NO.16151 OF 2022

                                   2

                            JUDGMENT

Dated this the 1st day of June, 2022 This writ petition is filed seeking directions to the 1st respondent to provide adequate protection to the life and property of the petitioner and his family from the 2nd respondent.

2. It is submitted that the 2nd respondent is the father in law of the petitioner's elder daughter and that he has been threatening the petitioner and his family members requiring the separation of the marital relationship between the petitioner's daughter and the 2nd respondent's son.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government leader, I am of the opinion that the question with regard to matrimonial relationship if any, is to be considered in appropriate proceedings. However, in case there is any threat or attack by the 2nd respondent on the petitioner or his family members, the petitioner may WP(C) NO.16151 OF 2022 3 inform the 1st respondent, who shall afford adequate protection to the life of the petitioner and his family members. It is made clear that this order shall not affect any contentions available to the parties in any pending or future litigation.
