Writ petition (civil) praying inter alia that in the circumstances
stated in the affidavit filed along with the WP(C) the High Court be
pleased to stay the operation of Exhibits P3 to P5 demand notices of the
2nd respondent, in the interest of justice.
This petition again coming on for orders upon perusing the petition
and the affidavit filed in support of WP(C) and this court's order dated
10.07.2014 and upon hearing the arguments of SRI.SAJAN MANNALI, Advocate
for the petitioner and of STANDING COUNSEL for the respondents, the court

ORDER
In spite of pendency of this case from the year 2014, respondent Corporation has not filed any statement or counter affidavit.
However, learned standing counsel appearing for the Corporation submitted that in pursuance to the direction issued in Exhibit P2 judgment in W.P.(C)No.1551 of 2012, the Finance Committee of the Cochin Corporation has found that the petitioner is renting out the auditorium and therefore, the petitioner is liable to pay property tax and an order is passed accordingly.
In that view of the matter, the learned standing counsel is directed to file a statement/objection along with appropriate documents.
Post on 08.07.2022 for disposal.
