                                           JUDGMENT

The prayer in the Original Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is as follows:

"(i) To direct the Hon'be Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Paravoor to dispose of C.C.No.2316/2015 pending therein, within a specific time limit fixed by this Hon'ble Court in a fast and expeditious manner in the interest of justice."

2. The petitioner is the accused in C.C.No.2316/2015 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (Temporary), South Paravoor. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 304(A) of the IPC.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner prayed for an expeditious disposal of the Calendar Case pending before the court below on the ground that the pendency of the criminal proceedings prevents the petitioner securing a job abroad.

4. A report was obtained from the court below as O.P (Crl) No.180 of 2022 3 to the status of the proceedings. The learned Magistrate reported that the case could be disposed of within a period of six months. Therefore, there will be a direction to the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate, South Paravoor to dispose of C.C.No.2316/2015 within a period of six months from this date.

Crl.M.C is disposed of as above.
