JUDGMENT
The relief sought for in the writ petition reads thus:-
"Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order directing the respondents to issue a certificate extending the extension of validity of Ext.P1 quarrying lease for a period of one year in terms of Ext.P2 Government order forthwith."
2. As per Ext.P2, the Government has extended the validity period of quarrying permit and quarrying lease for a period of one year in view of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lock down that ensued. In view of the above, there is no reason why appropriate orders shall not be passed on Ext.P4 application submitted by the petitioner seeking extension of lease period. W. P. (C) No.11664 of 2021 -: 2 :- Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner (Ext.P4) in the light of Ext.P2 Government Order.
