JUDGMENT
Dated this the 22nd day of January 2021 K. Vinod Chandran, J.
The petitioner is concerned with her missing daughter, who was also pregnant at the time when she was missing. The case was registered and even according to the petitioner investigation was carried out by the police. Despite vigorous investigation, the missing person could not be traced out. When information was received that the missing person was seen at certain places, the police had verified it, expeditiously. A lookout notice was also published. There has been no reliable information received by the police nor has anything been disclosed in the investigation carried out. It is also suspected that the missing person would have committed suicide or would have drowned, especially, since the house is located near the seashore. In any event, we do not find any reason to keep the habeas corpus petition pending. But this will not stand in the way of the police carrying out further investigation, if there is any reason so to do.
W.P.(CRL.)No.269 OF 2019 3 The writ petition would stand closed with the above observation.
