10/12.09.2022 This appeal has been preferred by the victim for enhancement of the sentence of the respondent no. 2.
The appeal preferred by the respondent no. 2 against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence being Criminal Appeal (SJ) No. 686 of 2018 has already been admitted and the records have been called for.
Mr. Jitesh Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that the evidence of the witnesses and the injuries suffered by the victim clearly indicates that the sentence imposed upon the respondent no. 2 is inadequate and, therefore, the same should be enhanced.
Mr. A. K. Chaturvedy, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 is present.
In view of the above, we are inclined to admit this appeal. Accordingly, this appeal is admitted.
Let the same be placed along with Criminal Appeal (SJ) No. 686 of 2018.
