01. By way of this petition, the petitioner seeks compliance of judgment and order dated 26.02.2018, passed in SWP No. 278/2014, titled "Ashok Kumar and another Vs. State of J&K and others". The writ petition was disposed of on 26.02.2018 by directing as under: -
"...In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for promotion in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order passed today. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case..."
02. The respondents submit that in compliance to the order of this Court dated 26.02.2018, they have passed the consideration order No. 01 of 2023 dated 02.05.2023, vide which, the case of the petitioner was considered and rejected being devoid of any merit. 2 CPSW No. 368/2018
03. In view of the aforesaid order dated 02.05.2023, the judgment and order dated 26.02.2018 stands complied. Proceedings in this contempt petition are, accordingly, closed. Petitioner is at liberty to assail the consideration order, if aggrieved.
