1. Heard learned advocates for the respective parties.

2. It appears that the applicant, without approaching the appropriate authority, has directly approached this Court.

3. In view of the judgment passed by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of M. Subramaniam vs. S. Janki, reported in (2020) 16 SCC 728, no case is made out to pass any order.

4. However, the respondent authority is directed to inform about the outcome of the written complaint filed by the petitioner at (Annexure-A) preferably within four weeks.

5. With the above direction, the application stands disposed of. It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case. The liberty is reserved in favour of the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum against any adverse decision passed by the police authority. Direct service is permitted.
