Seeking quashment of the FIR being I-C.R. No. 57 of 2017 registered with Borsad Rural Police Station, District Anand for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 323, 504, 506(2), and 114 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 7 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, learned advocate Mr. Nirav C. Sanghavi for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are in-laws of the complainant. It was further submitted that the trial against the husband of the complainant has culminated in acquittal pursuant to a compromise between the husband and the wife.

To substantiate his submission, learned advocate Mr. Sanghavi placed on record the judgment rendered in Criminal Case No. 1136 of 2018 by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Borsad.

In view of the above, the present petition deserves consideration and is accordingly ALLOWED.

The impugned FIR being I-C.R. No. 57 of 2017 registered with Borsad Rural Police Station, District Anand, as well as all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed and set aside.
