1. This Letters Patent Appeal is directed against the judgment and order dated 15.12.2022 rejecting the prayer made by the writ petitioner to permit him to appear in the last round of counseling, namely, mop up round to try for admission in another medical college, noticing the judgment of the Apex Court wherein timeline has been provided for completion of admission process for medical course.
2. The dispute pertains to the Academic session 2022-23. Moreover, in a recent decision of the Apex Court in Amrit Malik vs. The Medical Counseling Page 1 of 2 Downloaded on : Sun Sep 17 02:59:33 IST 2023 NEUTRAL CITATION C/LPA/810/2023 ORDER DATED: 31/08/2023 undefined Committee and others - Writ Petition (Civil) No.944 of 2022, the Apex Court observed that a candidate if takes admission in a medical college in previous rounds of counseling, cannot be permitted to seek participation in further round of counseling to try for the change of the college.
3. In view of the above, we do not find any merit in the instant appeal and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.
