22-07-2024 Heard Mr. A. K. Hannan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. M. J. Quadir, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. N. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the respondent No.1.

The informant/respondent No.2 is represented by her counsel and the names figured in the cause list, however, the respondent No.2 remained unrepresented.

The petitioner herein was charge sheeted accused in Sessions Case No.26/2022 arising out of Hailakandi P.S. Case No. 529/2018 corresponding to G.R. No.1296/2018.

It is submitted that the learned Sessions Judge, Hailakandi by judgment and order dated 14.12.2013, passed in said Sessions Case No.26/2022 acquitted the petitioner from the charge under Sections 376/342/34 IPC.

In view of the above, on instruction of the petitioner, his counsel Mr. A. K. Hannan is not pressing this criminal petition.

Accordingly, this criminal petition stands dismissed, as not pressed.
