                                          ORDER

Date : 27-01-2021 Heard Mr. U Choudhury, learned Legal Aid counsel for the applicant/appellant. Also heard Ms. B Bhuyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.

By this application filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, the applicant has prayed for condoning the delay of 5 days in filing the connected Criminal appeal against the Judgment and order, dated 09.01.2020 passed by the learned Addl.Sessions Judge (FTC), Dibrugarh in Sessions Case No.374/2013 whereby the applicant has been convicted under Section 302 of the IPC and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life and fine of Rs.20,000/- i/d to suffer simple imprisonment for 6 months.

The present application has been preferred from the jail through the High Court Legal Services committee.

We are satisfied with the grounds cited in the application.

Accordingly, the delay of 5 days in filing the connected criminal appeal is hereby condoned.

The interlocutory application stands disposed of.
