3. Vide the present petition, petitioners seeks direction thereby for quashing of FIR No. 318/2019 dated 29.06.2019, registered at PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi and all other proceedings arising therefrom. CRL.M.C.874.2020 Page 1 of 3
4. Notice issued.
5. Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by counsel for respondent no.2 and with the consent of counsel for parties, the present petition is taken up for final disposal.
6. The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent No. 2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.
7. Respondent No. 2 is personally present in Court with her learned counsel and she has been identified by ASI Rajnender Singh (IO) and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.
8. Petitioners and respondent no.2 have entered into an amicable settlement before Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi vide settlement dated 27.01.2020.
9. The total settlement amount is ₹7,00,000/-(Rupees Seven Lakhs only). It is submitted that respondent No. 2 has already received an amount of ₹3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand only). A demand draft bearing No.023006 dated 10.02.2020 for the balance amount of ₹3,50,000/- CRL.M.C.874.2020 Page 2 of 3 (Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) is handed over to respondent No. 2 today in Court.
10. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioners any further.
11. For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No. 318/2019 dated 29.06.2019, registered at PS Tilak Nagar, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
12. The petition is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of.
