                         J U D G M E N T (ORAL)

1. Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks direction thereby quashing FIR No. 564/2016 dated 05.07.2016, registered at Police Station - Prashant Vihar, Delhi and all other proceedings emanating therefrom.

2. Notice issued.

3. Notice is accepted by learned APP for the State and counsel for the respondent no.2.

4. With the consent of the counsel for the parties, the present petition is taken up for final disposal.

5. The petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 got married on 18.08.2014 as per Hindu rites and rituals.

6. The petitioner and respondent no.2 have entered into an amicable settlement vide settlement deed and settled all their disputes amicably.

7. Respondent No. 2 is personally present in Court with learned counsel

- Mr. I.J.S. Mehra and she has been identified by SI Randeep Singh /IO and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.

8. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has received the total settlement amount and prays that the present petition may be quashed.

9. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash the concerned FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the petitioner any further.

10. For the reasons afore-recorded, the FIR No. FIR No. 564/2016 dated 05.07.2016, registered at Police Station - Prashant Vihar, Delhi and all CRL.M.C. 4682/2017 Page 2 of 3 other proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

11. The petition is allowed accordingly. Pending application stands disposed of accordingly.
