1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that land of the petitioner was acquired on 10.04.1979 and accordingly the petitioner received the compensation for the same. Under the scheme, the petitioner applied for alternative plot on 17.04.1989 but till date petitioner is not aware what is the status of the said application. W.P.(C) No.8682/2014 Page 1 of 2

2. To this effect, on 29.03.1993 the petitioner sent a legal notice to know the status of her application; however, there is no response from their end. Lastly, on 09.09.2014 again petitioner sent a legal notice to know the status of her application dated 17.04.1989, however, till date no response has been received.

3. Keeping in view the averments made in the instant petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to communicate with the petitioner and let her know about the status of her application dated 17.04.1989 for allotment of alternative plot within four weeks from the receipt of this order.

4. In view of the above, the petition is allowed.
