JUDGMENT Madan B. Lokur, J.
1. In this writ petition, it is not mentioned who are the employees represented by the Respondent.
Although the posts held by members of the Respondent Union have been mentioned, it is not clear what are the duties of a Bacteriologist, Chemist or a Laboratory Attendant.
2. In so far as a Beldar, Enquiry Attendant, Mate, Khallasi, Work Assistant, Road Inspector and Mason are concerned, similar writ petitions filed by NDMC have already been dismissed.
In so far as Fitters are concerned, there does not seem to be any reason to suggest that they are carrying on any specialized activity exclusive to the General Wing. The posts of Fitter are, by and large, inter-changeable and transferable.
3. Under the circumstances, all Fitters Grade-I, Fitters Grade-II, Beldars, Enquiry Attendants, Mates, Khallasis, Work Assistants, Road Inspectors and Masons are entitled to the benefit of SSC pay scales with effect from 1st April, 1998 in view of the judge
4. For determining whether Bacteriologists, Chemists and Laboratory Attendants are entitled to the benefit of SSC pay scales, list the matter on 16th November, 2004.
