Petitioners are directed to serve a copy of the revisional
application upon the opposite party No. 1 through the Office of the
Public Prosecutor, High Court at Calcutta and the opposite party
No. 2 by speed post with A/D and file affidavit-of-service on the next
date for hearing.
The subject matter of the revisional application relates to
confirmation of the judgment and order dated 18.03.2017 by way of
which judgment and order dated 30.11.2022 was passed by learned
Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track 2nd Court,
Contai, Purba Medinipur in Criminal Appeal No. 02 of 2017. The
said conviction was under Section 147, 447, 323 read with Section
149 of the Indian Penal Code.
Having regard to the quantum of sentence, I direct that the
petitioners would continue on the same bail and bond but once in
every three months they will attend and obtain an acknowledgment
from the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Contai, Purba
Medinipur in connection with T.R. 111/96.
Let the revisional application appear under the heading
"Contested Application" in the Monthly List of February, 2024.
Having regard to the subject matter involved the Lower Court
Records of both the Trial Court and the Appeal Court be called for.

There shall be stay of the judgment and the order dated
30.11.2022
passed in Criminal Appeal No. 02 of 2017 till further order of this Court.
All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
