On the basis of the written complaint filed by the opposite party No.2/de facto complainant, Golf Green Police Station Case No.134 dated 4th August, 2021 under Sections 498A/406/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, corresponding to ACGR 2962 of 2021 was registered. The petitioners being the accused persons in the aforesaid 2 case has filed the instant application praying for quashing of the said criminal proceeding. During the pendency of the instant criminal revision, a joint petition for compromise was filed, stating, inter alia, that the petitioner does not want to proceed with the case on the ground that the dispute has been amicably settled.

In view of such application being filed, the Investigating Officer of the case was directed to examine the de-facto complainant/opposite party No.2 and record her further statement. The Investigating Officer recorded the statement of the de-facto complainant on 17th June, 2022 where she stated that she does not want to proceed with the aforesaid criminal case as the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled. In view of such circumstances, the joint petition for compromise be taken on record.

Further proceeding in respect of ACGR 2962 of 2021 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore arising out of Golf Green Police Station Case No.134 dated 4 th August, 2021 be quashed.

The statement of the de-facto complainant recorded by the Investigating Officer on 17th June, 2022 be kept with the record.

The instant revision is accordingly disposed of.
