1. Heard the learned Advocate for the respective parties.
2. The Applicant apprehends arrest in connection with C.R. No.87 of
2026 registered with Kannad Rural Police Station, District Chhatrapati
Sambhajinagar, for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(2)
of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, under Sections 5 and 6 of the
Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University Board and Other
Specified Examinations Act, 1982 and under Sections 66(d), 72 and 72-A of
the Information Technology Act, 2000.
3. Issue notice to the Respondent, returnable on 08.07.2026. Learned
APP waives service of notice for Respondent - State.
4. Considering the allegations made in the FIR and the role attributed
to the Applicant, the Applicant has prima facie made out a case for grant of

interim protection. Therefore, I am inclined to grant interim protection to
the Applicant. Hence, the following order :
ORDER
(i) Till the next date, in the event of arrest of Applicant namely Dilip Raosaheb Lihinar in connection with C.R. No.87 of 2026 registered with Kannad Rural Police Station, District Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, under Sections 5 and 6 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University Board and Other Specified Examinations Act, 1982 and under Sections 66(d), 72 and 72-A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, be released on bail on executing P.R. Bond and Surety Bond of Rs.15,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount.
(ii) The Applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Saturday and Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 02.00 p.m. till the next date.
(iii) The Applicant shall hand over his mobile phone, laptop, and all other devices available with him to the Investigating Agency.
(iv) The Applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence in any manner whatsoever.
(v) The Applicant shall cooperate with the Investigating Agency.
