ORAL JUDGMENT [PER SMT. V.K. TAHILRAMANI, J.] :

1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner preferred an application for parole on 22.5.2017, however, the learned APP states that the application for parole was preferred by the petitioner on 10.6.2017. The said application was rejected by order dated 11.8.2017.

Being aggrieved thereby, the petitioner preferred an appeal. The grievance of the petitioner is that till today, his appeal has not yet been decided. In this view of the matter, the Competent Authority to decide the appeal of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from today.

3. Rule is made absolute in the above terms.
