 ORAL JUDGMENT :



1. Learned advocate for the petitioner places on record the GR dated 24/04/2001, by which, the proposal of the respondent for bringing him on CRTE and consequential benefits has been forwarded to the appropriate authority of the ::: Uploaded on - 22/11/2017 ::: Downloaded on - 24/11/2017 13:58:01 ::: 2 State Government. The said proposal is still pending.

2. In a similar matter in Writ Petition No. 3604/2003, this Court has directed, by order dated 09/11/2017, the concerned superior authority of the petitioner/Department to decide the proposal and take appropriate steps within six months. A similar order, is therefore, prayed for.

3. Shri Kutti, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that with the above directions, this petition can be disposed of.

4. The GR dated 24/04/2001, is taken on record and marked as exhibit 'X' for identification.

5. As such, if the proposal of the respondent is still pending, the competent authority of the petitioner/Department shall decide the said proposal in accordance with the GR dated 24/04/2001, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of this order.

6. This petition, is therefore, disposed of with the above directions and Rule is discharged.
