1. Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner preferred an application for parole on 27/07/2017 on the ground of illness of his wife. The said application was rejected by order dated 11/09/2017. Hence, this Petition.

30. WP 4495.17.doc parole, the law provides for remedy of Appeal. The petitioner has not exhausted that remedy. We are not inclined to directly entertain the Petition against the order of rejection of the application for parole and the petitioner is relegated to the remedy available to him of preferring an appeal against the order of rejection of his application for parole. Thus, we are not inclined to entertain the Petition. Rule is discharged. However, if the petitioner prefers an Appeal, the same to be disposed of on merits as expeditiously as possible. Office to communicate this order to the petitioner who is in Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur.
