DATED : 15.03.2017 O R A L J U D G M E N T (Per Smt.Vasanti A Naik, J.) By this writ petition, the petitioner had challenged the promotion of the respondent No.4 on the post of headmaster.
It is stated that the writ petition was pending for nearly four years and the respondent No.5 is now due to retire on attaining the age of superannuation in the month of May, 2017. It is stated that the grievance of the petitioner would stand redressed if this court directs the respondent No.3 to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion after the superannuation of the respondent No.5.
The request made on behalf of the petitioner is just and reasonable. The respondent No.3 may consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of headmaster along with the other eligible persons. Rule is made absolute in the aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.
