CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A NAIK &
ARUN D. UPADHYE
, JJ.
DATED : 19.06.2017 O R A L J U D G M E N T (Per Smt.Vasanti A Naik, J.) By this writ petition, the petitioners seek a direction against the All India Council for Technical Education to accept and process the proposals of the petitioners for grant of permission to start the additional courses of diploma in engineering (electronics engineering and electrical engineering) from the academic year 2015-
16. The prayer seeking an interim direction against the All India Council for Technical Education to accept and process the proposals of the petitioners for permission to start the additional courses was also made.
While issuing notice to the respondents on 02/03/2015, we had directed the All India Council for Technical Education to accept and process the proposals of the petitioners for starting the additional courses from the academic session 2015-16 without insisting for the condition of N.B.A. accreditation.
The learned counsel for the petitioners, states that in view of the interim order, the All India Council for Technical Education must ::: Uploaded on - 20/06/2017 ::: Downloaded on - 21/06/2017 00:54:21 ::: 1906WP1122.15-Judgment 3/3 have either granted permission to the college to start the courses or refused the permission. It is stated that despite the efforts made by the counsel asking the petitioners about further development, the petitioners are not responding.
In the circumstances of the case, since the college must have either received permission to start the additional courses or the permission must have been refused, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged.
