CONTEMPT CASE No.740 of 2019
ORDER:
The petitioner who was a Lower Division Clerk in APSPDCL, Tirupati had sought regularisation of his services in terms of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India reported in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka and Others Vs. Umadevi and Others1. Aggrieved by the refusal of the respondent authorities in regularising his services, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of W.P.No.4285 of 2008, which was disposed of on 14.09.2018 directing the respondents therein to consider the case of the petitioner for absorption in terms of the Judgment referred above, within a period of four (04) weeks.
2. The petitioner being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in complying with the directions of this Court has filed the present Contempt Case. 1 (2006) 4 SCC 1 2
3. It appears that during the pendency of the Contempt Case, Writ Appeal filed by the respondents against the above order has been allowed.
4. In the circumstances, nothing further survives in the Contempt Case and it is accordingly closed.
As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
