ORDER:
The petitioner had executed a contract work for upgradation of Anganwadi Building at Gopalapuram village, Goapapuram Mandal, West Godavari District, under Agreement dated 29.01.2022. As the petitioner was not paid his dues amounting to Rs.1,66,756/-, he has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition.
2. A learned Single Judge of this Court, in similar Circumstances, after considering the earlier orders of this Court, by an order dated 08.02.2022 in W.P.No. 3074 of 2022, had directed that the respondents should pay the principal amount of the bill raised by the petitioner therein while leaving it open to the petitioner to agitate his right for interest.
3. In the said circumstances and following the said judgment, this writ petition is allowed, with a direction to the respondents to finalize the amounts payable to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from today and in any event to pay the amounts due to the petitioner within a period of six weeks thereafter.
4. Needless to say, it would be open to the petitioner to agitate his rights for payment of interest in an appropriate forum. There shall be no order as to costs.
