HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.VENKATA RAMANA
SECOND APPEAL No.589 of 2000
JUDGMENT:
Sri E.V.V.S.Ravi Kumar, learned counsel for the appellants, represents that the parties have taken away the file from their office stating that they and the respondents have compromised this matter in Lok Adalat at District Court, Kakinada.
2. On verification, the record discloses that this Court by an order dated 21.09.2013 referred this Second Appeal to Lok Adalat, Kakinada, East Godavari District, for settlement. As per the letter of the Chairman of Mandal Services Committee, Kakinada, dated 24.04.2014, the entire file was returned stating that compromise could not be recorded, pointing out certain issues. Nonetheless, it is manifest that the parties have entered into a compromise in this matter and for this reason, as pointed out by Sri E.V.V.S.Ravi Kumar, they are neither approaching him, who is their learned counsel in this appeal, nor any one represented the respondents now.
3. In the circumstances, accepting the statement of Sri E.V.V.S.Ravi Kumar, learned counsel for the appellants, this Second Appeal is dismissed finding that no purpose would be served to continue it on board. No costs.
As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, stand closed. Interim orders, if any, stand vacated.
