Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
It is stated that the State Government had issued a notice to the Chairman of the Nagar Panchayat, Manikpur, District Chitrakoot in exercise of power under Section 48 of the Nagar Panchayat Adhiniyam, 1916 as early as on 25.5.2015. Fifteen days' time was granted to submit a reply but nothing has happened thereafter. Hence this writ petition.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, it is desirable that the State Government may conclude the proceedings initiated under the said notice preferably within eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order before the respondent no.1 strictly in accordance with law after affording opportunity of hearing to the parties.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
