Learned counsel for the applicant contends that the applicant is in custody since 11.7.2009. He further states that till date, not a single witness has been examined. The police personnel are intentionally delaying the trial.
Let the comments of trial court be sought as regards the exact status of trial.
In case none of the witnesses has been examined, the presiding officer of the court concerned is directed to send its comments as to under what circumstances trial has not commenced, although the applicant has been in custody for about two years and ten months.
Registrar shall ensure compliance of this order.
