The petitioner contends that he was issued a cheque of Rs.60,811/- in the year 2000 towards leave encashment, but the same could not be encashed as the same had become barred by lime. Since then, the petitioner has retired, but the respondents have not issued another cheque.
In light of the aforesaid, an interim mandamus is issued to the respondents to release the payment within three weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of the order or show cause within the same period by filing a counter affidavit.
